Description

Adding to Theo Wanne’s line of professional alto saxophones. This sax has a vibrant and colourful sound, with plenty of projection. Great intonation across the range, particularly favouring the upper register, allowing for a very effortless altissimo. The unique finish is derived from the same “vintification” process used to create Theo’s Mantra saxophones, but for a longer period of time. Like all Theo Wanne saxes this features a three-point bell to body brace that offers very solid construction, whilst allowing the instrument to resonate to its full potential.

This is an instrument that was designed to stand out. Along with it’s interesting and unique finish, this sax has a BIG sound! It took me a little by surprise when I initially tried it. The response is immediate, and it really feels like you can blow the roof off with very little effort. The articulation for me feels very crisp and punchy, and the tone leans heavily on the bright side of the spectrum, so this is a sax that would really suit someone who needs to cut through and be heard over a lot of amplified instruments.
