“It feels like the ergonomics of this sax have been well R&D’d. The action is comfortable and smooth and the keywork sits nicely in the right place. Like a lot of Theo’s mouthpieces there is a definite emphasis on ‘core’ within the tone of his soprano; very clearly defined and bold in sound, this definition and focus draws out a soloistic feeling when you play the Mantra, making this horn great for playing lead parts.

I should also say that this Vintified finish looks stunning set against the gold lacquer keywork, finished beautifully with a very arty engraving on the bell! – Jim Cheek
