Much like its cousins across the saxophone range, the AMBIKA 3 HR soprano mouthpiece is the darkest within the Theo Wanne Soprano range. Through decades of research, Theo has perfected the large chamber for soprano mouthpieces. Allowing for a tone that resembles those 1940’s mouthpieces, but with enough projection and dynamic range to suit a modern repertoire. 

The AMBIKA 3 gives players a full-bodied, almost haunting and ethereal tone, whilst having the capabilities to be pushed and match modern musical expressionism.

What a beautiful mouthpiece! This has instantly become a firm favourite of mine. I don’t know how Theo does it, but despite the HUGE chamber on this piece, it still has loads of projection and doesn’t feel like it’s stealing all of your air. The Ambika is easy to blow, the intonation is easy to control, and you can achieve a lovely thick sound with lots of colour. I was also astounded by how easy it was to achieve a smokey subtone all the way down to low Bb! 10/10 Theo! Another amazing addition to the collection! – Oren Gurney ([email protected])
