What an incredible finish!  The Twilight Smoke Jupiter alto takes aesthetics to another level!

The addition of the Twilight Smoke finish into the JAS1100 series is a great move by Jupiter.  Extremely stylish and classy, it stands out from the crowd and says to the potential owner “hey, you don’t need to buy a boring gold lacquered saxophone, take me instead”.

The JAS1100 series sits perfectly in that intermediate or step-up bracket, great for those players who feel that they are no longer getting the maximum benefit from their student horns.  Overall, it has a robust build with a high level of technical precision, translating into a sax that has a warm, powerful sound and great playability.

In comparison to the lower-level Jupiter models, the JAS1100 has a more open and powerful presence, with more overtones on hand.  This is exactly what you need if you are trying to develop your sound to the next level.  The intonation is also more dialed in, and add to that the sizeable number of features included, this sax represents great value for money.

The Sona-Pure Neck is created using special artisan tooling and annealing processes that result in a dark, vintage tonal quality.

“After playing the Jupiter 1100Q next to some other models in the same price range, I was pleasantly surprised by the way it played. Although slightly more resistant, It has a dark core to the sound that has much more depth than the other models it was compared to. It was also more comfortable under the fingers, with the keywork in clearly well-thought-out positions.
