Staff Review
A true classic! Although on the surface the S80 is known for being one of the main go to mouthpieces for classical players, I would argue they have a surprising amount of versatility. I, like a lot of players, bought an S80 C* as my first “proper” mouthpiece, and I used it for several years whilst doing all my graded exams. Recently I had a play around with an S80 F, and I was really impressed! When paired with the right reed the wider tip openings have the potential to produce a full, warm, jazzy tone with a lot of flexibility. Put it on your list to try out next time you’re in-store! – Oren Gurney ([email protected])
