“This sax has a particularly dark and focused sound that really opens up towards the top of the register, allowing expressive playing all the way throughout the range.

The horn plays really well with a classic Selmer resistance which gives it the timeless sound and response, which you can expect through the whole range. Inspite of this, its still pretty dynamically responsive and can really sing if you give it some. It has a very smooth key action with comfortable positions, all the way up to it’s top F. The intonation in the higher register is a little touch and go, as is to be expected from a horn of this era, but nothing to trouble the experienced sax player that this horn will likely appeal to.” – Harry, SAX London
