This new Soprano Virtuoso has an incredible balance of elements. It’s free-blowing and responsive, warm and rich, yet it has a crystal clear clarity at the same time. I was surprised at how short it is – when using a Rovner lig it takes up half the piece – with this in mind you may find the tuning position is slightly further out than you’re used to. Once you have it positioned correctly, the intonation is excellent.
